
Personal Chef Anita F Benton is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi where she is the youngest of four children. Anita's passion and love of cooking began at an early age when her mother would pull a chair up to the kitchen counter so Anita could assist her with baking and daily meal preparations. Anita learned to read a measuring cup long before she could read a book. Anita realized that she was a really good cook and an even better baker when she entered a 4-H baking competition in the fourth grade and won the First Place Blue Ribbon for her Whipped Cream Pound Cake.
Anita is a 1996 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and a former student of the esteemed Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University in Thibodeux, Louisiana. She also studied at the well-known French Culinary School, L'Academie de Cuisine, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Anita is also a graduate of the United States Personal Chef Institute.
Chef Anita has worked for many notable and well known persons such as former NFL player Nate Wayne, Donald Driver of the Green Bay Packers and Jeremiah Trotter.
She specializes in dinner parties and desserts but also enjoys preparing a variety of cuisines, varying from Caribbean and French to Southern and Asian. Other services include customized romantic meal packages, in-home and small event catering, dinner parties and personalized cooking classes. Her vast array of customer service and hospitality experience adds to her professionalism for a top-rated event.
